Chapter 243 [Empire] Hunger
Chapter 243 [Empire] Hunger
In this endless darkness, my thoughts still wandered. I thought of Wen Ya. I wondered what the world would look like when I woke up again. Perhaps Wen Ya would appear by my side.
If I fall asleep, maybe I can find some answers in my dreams.
In this deep unconscious state, a small voice came: "Give it to me, hunger, give it to me."
The sound seemed to drift from far away, carrying an indescribable eeriness. It echoed in the darkness, leaving me feeling uneasy. I struggled to discern its source, but found myself trapped in an invisible cage, unable to move.
The voice was ethereal, yet carried an indescribable urgency.
Whose voice is this? Who is it calling out to? And what does the word "hunger" mean in this context?
"Give me, hunger, give me," it repeated, as if pleading for something. Could it be the wheat seeds calling out?
My mind struggled to wake up under the stimulation of this sound, but my body seemed to be firmly bound and unable to move. I tried to identify the source of the sound, but I could only feel a vast emptiness around me.
In this hazy state of consciousness, my thoughts were once again occupied by that strange wheat seed. I seemed to see it emitting an evil aura, like a greedy monster, devouring my energy in order to germinate.
That strange wheat seed devoured my energy so greedily that I almost lost consciousness. It clung to me tightly, refusing to let go of even the slightest bit of my strength.
On the edge of consciousness, I seemed to see wisps of green, the color of young shoots. This color should represent vitality and hope, but now it filled me with fear.
I still remember it staining the soil green, that eerie color like a spreading venom, corroding everything around it. The green sprout seemed to have a consciousness of its own, constantly growing and expanding, devouring the surrounding energy.
Those strands of green danced before my eyes, as if to challenge me, or to tempt me to come closer. I wanted to escape, but found myself unable to move. I could only watch this strange scene.
What exactly is this wheat seed and why does it have such power?
The wisps of green lingered before my eyes. This couldn't be wheat, could it?
Did the seed mutate, or was it not originally a wheat seed, but another plant similar to wheat?
This plant is definitely not a good one.
If it grows up, it will definitely be troublesome.
It grows by devouring people's minds. In a sense, it is also a carnivorous plant.
Imagine it lurking there silently, waiting for people to approach, then extending its tentacles and nibbling away at their consciousness bit by bit. Lurking, luring, preying, tearing apart.
The more you eat, the bigger you get. The bigger you get, the more you need to eat. And so the cycle continues.
This is the capital planet.
The feeling of being devoured surged back into my heart, and fear overwhelmed me like a tide. I seemed to be back in that terrible moment, feeling the invisible power of the mysterious plant tugging at my mind.
The feeling was so real and intense that it gave me chills. I could clearly recall my consciousness being swallowed up bit by bit, as if I were trapped in an endless vortex of darkness. I could even hear the sound of chewing.
