Guns and Coffee in the World of Science

Chapter 132: Nobody? Famous?

Chapter 132: Nobody? Famous?

A black Rolls-Royce slowly stopped at the entrance of an unassuming bar. The deep roar of its engine was like a melodious symphony, causing Vodka and his companions to hold their breath. The car's body resembled a flowing strand of black silk, radiating an understated yet undeniable luxury in the morning light.

Vodka stood at the bar entrance, his eyes lighting up slightly as the car approached. Though he maintained a composed demeanor, a glimmer of envy filled his eyes. "What a beautiful car! If only Big Brother had one like this, I'd take good care of it and drive it around every day."

He took a deep breath and suppressed those distracting thoughts. Gin took this meeting very seriously and he dared not show any loss of composure in such an occasion.

After the car stopped, Pu Siqinglan displayed her professionalism by gracefully getting out of the car, walking around the front of the car, and standing in front of the back door. She opened the door swiftly, stood aside, bowed her head slightly, and made a respectful gesture of asking her out.

In the back seat, Chen Shuo wore a well-tailored black suit, a pale gold handkerchief tucked into his breast pocket, adding a touch of understated elegance. He raised his head calmly, his eyes steady yet sharp, as if he could easily see through anyone's thoughts. He rested one hand gently on the car door frame, his other hand naturally supporting Mao Lilan beside him.

Mao Lilan wore an elegant white dress with a light blue jacket, simple yet elegant. With a faint smile on her face, she gracefully stepped out of the car under Chen Shuo's guidance. She looked like a lily in the morning, fresh and dignified.

After Mao Lilan got out of the car, Chen Shuo planted his last, steady foot on the ground and casually tugged at his sleeves. The movement was simple, yet it carried a unique dignity and composure. He glanced at Vodka and his minions, his lips curling up slightly in a half-smile that made Vodka feel like he'd been seen through.

The passenger door opened, and Suzuki Sonoko gracefully exited the car, wearing a pair of high heels. She'd changed her usual lively style for a sharp black suit and skirt, looking incredibly dashing. Standing next to Chen Shuo, a relaxed smile graced her face.

Vodka took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. He immediately took two steps forward, bowed his head slightly respectfully, and extended his hand in a guiding gesture: "Mr. Wuchen, please follow me. My brother is already waiting inside."

Chen Shuo nodded, his gaze shone with indifference as he led Mao Lilan and Suzuki Sonoko towards the bar. Pu Siqinglan followed silently at the end, her eyes scanning the surroundings with vigilance, always on guard. The Rolls-Royce stood quietly at the door, like a sleeping black behemoth, highlighting the group's extraordinary aura even more.

Vodka secretly swallowed his saliva and sighed in his heart: No matter how many times I have met this gentleman, his aura is so compelling.

When you walk into the bar, what hits you is not the noise and the aroma of alcohol, but a quiet and solemn atmosphere.

The place was brightly lit, the decor understated yet luxurious, yet there wasn't a single ordinary customer. Instead, there were lines of men in black standing around. They wore well-tailored black suits, neatly polished gloves, and crisp bow ties. Their gazes were sharp, their expressions stern, and every detail betrayed the aura of rigorous training. Without exception, these men were the elite of the winery.

The moment Chen Shuo stepped into the bar, the men in black all lowered their heads, bent slightly, and shouted in unison, "Welcome, sir!"

The deep, powerful and imposing welcome echoed in the empty bar, shocking everyone.

Chen Shuo looked straight ahead, his expression calm, his steps steady, unfazed by the situation. His expression remained unchanged, yet his aura was like a hidden sword, unsheathed, yet it subconsciously conveyed a sense of oppression.

The three women following Chen Shuo only briefly glanced at the black-clad men in formation before immediately looking away, their faces unfazed. Mao Lilan lowered her gaze, her expression gentle yet calm. Her hand rested lightly on Chen Shuo's arm, a gesture of intimacy yet restrained, revealing a kind of unspoken trust.

Sonoko, on the other hand, appeared more capable, her chin slightly raised, her gaze steady and a hint of natural pride. As the daughter of the Suzuki family, although she disliked this atmosphere, she also knew that her words and actions today represented more than just herself.

Pu Siqinglan walked last, always alert. Her eyes quickly scanned the surroundings, taking in every detail. Her steps were steady, and her aura was fierce, no less impressive than those in black.

The calmness and composure of this group of people formed a sharp contrast with the solemn atmosphere around them.

"Please come this way." Vodka bent slightly and said in a respectful tone, then led Chen Shuo to continue walking forward.

Passing through a deep corridor, the atmosphere grew increasingly solemn. Every step echoed in the silent space, as if the corridor stretched infinitely, concealing endless unknowns. Chen Shuo walked in front, his steps steady and his gaze deep as water. Behind him, Mao Lilan, Suzuki Sonoko, and Pu Siqinglan were also calm and composed, coordinating seamlessly.

Finally, they stopped in front of a heavy wooden door. Vodka raised his hand, knocked on the door twice, and whispered, "Brother, Mr. Wuchen is here."

Without waiting for a response from inside, he slightly turned sideways and slowly pushed the door open. Then he bowed and stood aside, making a respectful gesture for someone to come in: "Mr. Wuchen, please come in."

Chen Shuo nodded and walked in. Mao Lilan and Sonoko followed silently behind him. Pu Siqinglan was the last one to enter. She looked around and then stopped.

The decor inside the private room stands in stark contrast to the bar outside. The lighting is soft, understated yet luxurious. A long wooden table stands in the center of the room, sparsely furnished, with only a few glasses of red wine and a decanter, yet each item exudes exquisite taste. The wall decorations are simple yet unique, with dark wood accents and metal accents complementing each other beautifully.

Gin lazily leaned on a large sofa, playing with a glass of red wine in his hands. When he saw Chen Shuo and his group enter the private room, he slowly stood up, his eyes cold and oppressive.

However, when his eyes fell on Chen Shuo, they were filled with a subtle respect. He raised his hand slightly, gestured towards the sofa across from him, and said in a low, respectful voice, "Welcome, Mr. Wuchen. Please take a seat."

Chen Shuo smiled faintly and nodded in response, "You're welcome." His voice was neither hurried nor slow, his manner calm and natural. Then, he gracefully walked to the sofa and slowly sat down, his movements exuding an undeniable majesty.

Ran Maori and Suzuki Sonoko followed in tacit understanding, taking seats on either side of Chen Shuo. Though they spoke little, the calmness and grace in their eyes made the whole scene seem remarkably harmonious. Ran Maori straightened her back slightly, trying to conceal her nervousness, while Sonoko gently crossed her legs, her gaze a hint of impassive observation, appearing competent and confident.

Pu Siqinglan didn't sit down, but stood behind Chen Shuo. Her upright posture and sharp gaze made her presence no less noticeable than anyone else's. Her hands hung naturally, and her eyes casually swept across every corner of the room, as if she was ready to respond to any sudden danger at any time.

Gin pulled a bottle of whiskey from the nearby wine cabinet, expertly poured a glass and handed it to Chen Shuo. He then poured himself a glass and gracefully sat back on the sofa. He picked up the glass, gently swirled the amber liquid, and looked up at Chen Shuo, his voice low and inquiring, "So... Mr. Wuchen, do you have any instructions for me, as you've come all this time?"

Chen Shuo took the wine glass and twisted his wrist slightly, causing ripples to form in the liquid. His gaze remained calm, and he didn't rush to answer. Instead, he took a sip of the wine, then raised his hand slightly and made a simple gesture to Pu Siqinglan, who was standing behind him.

Pu Siqinglan nodded, took out a thick document from the briefcase he was carrying, walked steadily to Chen Shuo's side, and handed the document to Suzuki Sonoko. Sonoko took the document, her eyes flashed slightly, and she placed the document on the table gracefully, gently pushing it in front of Gin with her fingers.

The entire process was smooth and silent, the team working in perfect harmony, their movements smooth and efficient. The document on the desk was slowly pushed towards Gin's hand, carrying with it a sense of silent pressure.

At this moment, Chen Shuo finally spoke. His voice was steady, yet it revealed an undeniable confidence: "I have a plan..."

---

Time passed minute by minute, and finally, the door of the box opened. Vodka raised his hand to wipe his forehead, suppressing the shock in his heart. He bowed slightly and said respectfully to Chen Shuo, "Mr. Wuchen, I will see you off."

Chen Shuo nodded calmly, stood up, adjusted his cuffs, and then walked towards the door. Mao Lilan and Yuan Zi followed on either side. Pu Siqinglan turned last and stood calmly behind Chen Shuo, the vigilance in her eyes undiminished.

Just as he was about to leave the private room, Chen Shuo paused, turned slightly sideways, and his gaze fell on Gin, who was still sitting on the sofa. There was no mockery or contempt in his eyes, only a deep insight and control. He smiled slightly, his tone calm, but every word sharp.

"Mr. Gin, you're a talented person. I truly admire your talent." He spoke slowly, his voice deep and powerful. "Think carefully about it. Do you want to be a nobody, or become famous?"

Gin's eyes narrowed slightly, and his fingers tapped the documents, his movements revealing a hint of nervousness. He didn't respond immediately, but it was obvious that this sentence touched a place in his heart.

Chen Shuo didn't wait for his answer, nor did he seem to care about his reaction. He turned back and walked out of the box with graceful steps. The door behind him was gently closed by Vodka, isolating everything in the room from outside.

The box fell silent again. Gin remained seated on the sofa, the document in his hand trembling slightly. His expression was complex, a hint of struggle in his eyes, and his fingers were tightly gripping the edge of the document.

"A nobody...become famous..." Gin murmured in a low voice, his tone full of contradiction and hesitation.

These few words were like a bombshell dropped on his heart, stirring up the turmoil deep within him. He raised his glass and downed the remaining whiskey in one gulp. His Adam's apple rolled slightly, and his gaze gradually deepened.
