So he could guess that if she were forced to lose too much lifespan because she was blocking an inquiry, she would become afraid of dying and choose to run away.
This was why he only let her lose 100 years of lifespan before backing off. As for the two new divine beings whom he didn’t know anything about, he only made them spend 300 years of their lifespan blocking him.
On the other hand, he took 500 years’ worth of lifespan from Forced Exchange with the inquires. He limited himself to this, not because he didn’t have the lifespan to burn, or that he wasn’t willing to burn the lifespan just to make his enemies lose more.
He had a long lifespan and was willing to burn his lifespan to make the four of them lose their lifespan. But he held back because he wanted to appear weak.
The fact that he had made Forced Exchange lose 500 years of his lifespan meant that he had also lost 500 years initiating the inquiry. If he spends more of his lifespan on the inquiry, Forced Exchange, and the others might start to think that he is not as weak as they thought.

She hesitated because she was running out of lifespan. She already had less than a thousand years of lifespan and didn’t want to lose more by entering the world barrier.
When she thought of how she would be drained of 36 years of lifespan per second, she stopped in front of the world barrier, unwilling to enter it. But then she thought about how it was she who nearly killed the old Gold Body.
When she remembered how much lifespan she had consumed on trying to kill the old Gold Body and how this new Gold Body had come along to steal the fruit of her labor, she became unwilling to stop here.
Then she thought about how stopping and giving up here meant that the Gold Body Metac was likely to go to Monarch Forced Exchange and the Thorn House of Commerce, who happen to be the same people who prevented her from finishing off the old Gold Body.
When she remembered that unfortunate event, she became angry and determined not to let Monarch Forced Exchange and his alliance have their way.
She gritted her teeth and entered the world barrier. This decision cost her 396 years of her lifespan. So she now had 571 years of lifespan left.
This made her say to herself, ’I will just take the back foot in this hunt. I won’t take direct action to kill the thief until the last moment. As long as Forced Exchange doesn’t get the Gold Body Metac, I will be satisfied."
Now that she has so little lifespan left, her goals and expectations for this hunt have fallen. Her goal has gone from retrieving the Gold Body Metac for her use to preventing Forced Exchange from getting it.
She is willing to let the other two get the Gold Body Metac because they are not strong and have not surrendered their Cave Heaven, as Forced Exchange has done. This makes them weaker than Forced Exchange, so it will be much easier to get the Gold Body Metac from them in the future.
If Forced Exchange gets the Gold Body Metac, she will have to deal with him and his alliance before she can get it. That is unlikely to be successful even with a lot of lifespan, so she would prefer to deal with an independent divine being.
When she recovers her lifespan, she will go after the two of them. Since it will take a lot of time before the two of them can completely master the Gold Body Metac, use it to raise their stats, and combine it with their first Divine Metac, their strength won’t improve for a while with the Gold Body Metac, so she will have the time to recover her lifespan and deal with them.
This mentality of being here to take advantage of the situation is why she didn’t join in attacking Loki. The other three had a lot more lifespan than she did, so they weren’t so worried.

Monarch Wealth Status was the first to make a move. This divine being activated the Wealth Status and imposed its effect on Loki.
