Chapter 129 Combat
Chapter 129 Combat
The three "shadow warriors" quickly dealt with the five Cardia commandos at the entrance and then swiftly entered Wayne Tower.
They seemed very familiar with Wayne Tower, at least more so than the commandos.
The "Shadow Warriors" always managed to narrowly bypass the commandos and head straight for Young Master Wayne's residence; their target was clear: Young Master Wayne.
Soon, the three shadow warriors arrived at Master Wayne's bedroom, but to their surprise, there was not a single Star Guardian guarding the area.
However, they didn't think much of it, as they felt they were moving too fast and hadn't given the Astronauts time to react.
The three shadow warriors exchanged glances, and one of them drew a dagger and slashed open the bedroom door.
The bedroom was pitch black.
The shadow warriors swarmed in.
Their plan was very simple: to storm in and kidnap Young Master Wayne.
Russell was waiting quietly for them when he heard light footsteps at the door. Russell knew the enemy had arrived.
He remained motionless until the enemy slid open the door. Three men in black appeared at the doorway, hesitated for a moment, and then rushed in.
"Roar!" Russell suddenly roared and swung "Blood Drinker" at a man in black.
Russell's sudden appearance clearly startled the three men in black.
"Someone's there!" a man in black exclaimed.
Just as he cried out in alarm, Russell had already rushed in front of him, and the Blood Drinker slashed down.
The man in black dodged Russell's slash with a simple spin.
Two more men in black rushed forward, each wielding a sharp dagger and lunging at Russell.
This time it was Russell's turn to be surprised. His sudden attack was actually dodged, and the attacks from the other two people actually landed.
Russell had no time to think. He raised his left arm, which was holding the power axe, and his thick left arm immediately transformed into a flesh shield, with both short swords piercing into it.
With a soft "hiss," two short swords pierced deeply into Russell's left arm, the sharp blades penetrating more than five inches.
The excruciating pain enraged Russell, who roared and swung the Blood Drinker at the two Shadow Warriors.
The two shadow warriors quickly dodged and pulled the short sword from Russell's arm, spilling blood all over the ground.
Russell's full strength cannot be unleashed without bloodshed; his strength increases dramatically when he draws blood.
In fact, Russell already had a plan in mind at this point. This time, his opponent was not a powerful warrior but an agile assassin. The way to deal with an assassin is not like dealing with a warrior. Strength alone is not enough. You also need to have brains.
Although he now has two weapons, he doesn't plan to use the power axe in his left hand. He knows that he has strong muscles and a strong recovery ability. As long as his opponents don't stab him in vital positions, such as his heart or throat, their short swords won't be of much use to him.
Russell quickly caught up, and the Blood Drinker swung his weapon wildly, forcing the two Shadow Warriors to retreat continuously.
Another shadow warrior rushed in from the side, his sharp short sword aimed at Russell's throat.
When they arrived, their employer had told them about a powerful "giant" Astral Army, and perhaps the man before them was that giant Astral Army soldier. To deal with those muscular monsters, one must strike their vitals, such as their throat or heart, so his attack was aimed at Russell's throat.
Russell naturally realized the enemy's purpose and quickly raised his right shoulder, the huge muscles on his right shoulder like armor.
The short sword pierced deeply into his right shoulder; his steel-like muscles could not stop the sharp blade, which went in more than ten centimeters.
The shadow warrior could feel it piercing deep into the enemy's muscles. He thought the attack had succeeded, and his elation slowed his reaction.
Russell used a strange move, suddenly leaning forward and ramming his forehead into the enemy.
With a "thud," the strange trick actually worked, and the two people's heads collided violently.
The assassin Shadow Warrior was in real trouble. Unlike Russell, his head wasn't as hard. He felt as if his head had hit a rock, and he collapsed to the ground, feeling dizzy.
Two more shadow warriors pounced on him again, thrusting two short swords at him from the left and right.
Since they weren't aiming for vital spots this time, Russell wasn't going to dodge and was prepared to take the short sword head-on.
A short sword pierced Russell's left arm once again, and another pierced his left shoulder.
With the opponent on the right temporarily unable to attack, Russell decided not to keep his left arm as a human shield.
With a roar, he brandished his two weapons and forced back the two shadow warriors once again.
The shadow warrior, still dazed from the impact, tried to get up, but Russell kicked him from the side, sending him flying more than ten meters before he passed out completely.
The other two shadow warriors were shocked. They cursed inwardly that they had encountered a monster. Their swords had struck the enemy several times, but the enemy seemed to have no reaction. On the contrary, the enemy's fighting power was getting stronger and stronger. This was truly unbelievable.
Having dealt with one of the Shadow Warriors, Russell became even more confident and launched a frenzied attack on the remaining two.
The power axe gleamed with a bluish light in the pitch-black environment, and the two shadow warriors dared not approach, only constantly dodging.
While the three were fighting, Kayans led his commandos to surround the area.
"Russell, get out of the way!" Kayans roared.
Dozens of laser guns were already aimed at the two shadow warriors, and Russell quickly retreated.
"Surrender or die!" Kayans roared.
Without the slightest hesitation, the two shadow warriors charged towards the Star Guardians.
The laser engulfed them, and the two shadow warriors were riddled with holes and lay dead on the ground.
"I also knocked one out!" Russell quickly reminded Cayans.
The commandos swarmed in, surrounded, and captured the "shadow warrior" who had been knocked unconscious by Russell.
When the lights were turned on, people saw that the ground was covered in blood.
Russell's camouflage uniform was tattered and covered in bloodstains.
"Medic!" Kayans roared.
A military medic accompanying the group rushed over with a first-aid kit.
Russell shook his head and said: It's alright.
When the medic came up to examine Russell, he discovered something strange: Russell had several huge wounds on his body, but the wounds seemed to be almost healed.
"How is it?" Kayans asked.
"Lieutenant, it's alright," the medic said.
"Don't worry about me, the enemy might come again, everyone be careful," Russell warned everyone.
“Five of my brothers were killed by them!” Kayans said sadly.
“These guys are formidable. If I hadn’t been there, Young Master Wayne would probably have been killed by them today.”
“Perhaps I should report to the political commissar and ask the military affairs department to send some more capable people over,” Kayans said.
