Chapter 363 The WAAAGH!! Frenzy
Chapter 363 The WAAAGH!! Frenzy
The earth is shaking.
The orcs never knew the meaning of "probing" in their attacks; their first charge was a ferocious, all-out assault. Thousands upon thousands of greenskins surged forward like a green tide, accompanied by deafening roars—**"WAAAGH!!!"**
The Orc Warlord stood in the center of the battlefield, his fifteen-meter-tall frame resembling a mobile steel fortress. Each swing of his power claws sent a Salamander warrior flying dozens of meters. The Super Angels swiftly locked onto him, and four Angel Warriors simultaneously unfurled their wings, their psionic spears aimed at his joints.
"You little shrimp! Taste my power!" The war boss laughed wildly, his armor inlaid with crude but powerful energy fields, which only produced sparks when bombs hit them. However, the super angels' tactical coordination was perfect. They moved around the orc war boss at lightning speed, their psionic weapons precisely piercing the gaps in his armor.
"For the Emperor! Decapitation!" At Carion's command, six angel warriors simultaneously launched a fatal blow. The orc war leader's head exploded under the strangulation of the psionic spears, and his massive body collapsed like a mountain.
However, the real threat has only just begun to emerge.
…………
Behind the orcish horde, a hunched but enormous figure slowly rose—**the orc wizard "Madhead" Groznik**. Its skin was covered in glowing runes, and a distorted ball of green psionic energy hovered above its head, an energy so powerful it seemed to warp the surrounding air.
"Hehehe... You little shrimps, try my brain-exploding technique!"
It abruptly raised its bone staff, unleashing a green psionic lightning bolt that swept across the battlefield, instantly splitting the heads of three salamander warriors apart, splattering blood and brains. The superangels charged forward, but their psionic weapons malfunctioned as they approached Groznik—**that green psionic energy could devour other energies!**
"Damn it! Its psionic energy is wrong!" Carleon's psionic longsword shattered the moment it pierced within three meters of the wizard, while Gruznik just grinned and swung his hand back, sending a psionic shockwave flying away three angel warriors.
Van Grey attempted to cleave through its defenses with "Imperial Judgment," but the greatsword was repelled by an invisible force the moment it got close.
"Physical attacks are ineffective! Psionic attacks have been absorbed! This monster—"
Just when everyone was at a loss, a golden figure swept across the battlefield like lightning.
Bertrand Russell has arrived.
Without a word, he charged straight at Gruznik. The orc wizard laughed maniacally and unleashed green psionic lightning once more—
Then, Russell's entrenching tool, "Blood Drinker," cleaved through the psionic energy!
"What?! Impossible! My WAAAGH energy is invincible!" Groznik's eyes widened as its psionic energy was forcibly torn apart!
Russell's golden psionic energy coiled around the shovel blade, and his eyes had turned completely a burning gold.
"Your psionic energy is nothing but a cheap, stolen product from the Blackrock."
The next second, his entrenching tool pierced Groznik's chest.
The orc wizard let out a mournful howl, its green psionic energy surging wildly in an attempt to resist, but Russell's psionic energy eroded it like lava.
"No...it's impossible...my WAAAGH...how could this be..."
Russell stared at it coldly and said in a low voice:
"Because my psychic power comes from the Emperor."
He stirred it violently, and the "Blood Drinker's" blood tank burst with dazzling golden light. Groznik's body exploded from the inside, and the green psionic energy was completely purified, turning into a wisp of green smoke and dissipating.
With the wizard's death, the orcs' WAAAGH field weakened instantly, and the previously berserk greenskins began to panic. The super angels seized the opportunity and launched a final purge.
"Charge! Crush them!" Carleon raised his twin swords, and the angel warriors swept across the battlefield like a white storm.
Van Grey looked at Russell, utterly shocked—this former veteran of Cardia now possessed power that even a Super Angel couldn't match.
Russell put away his entrenching tool and walked towards Arya, whose face had turned even paler.
"We need to speed things up," he whispered. "The orcs are just the beginning... the real enemy is yet to come."
On the distant horizon, a storm is gathering.
…………
The orc corpses piled up like mountains behind them, the air thick with the acrid stench of burning metal mixed with the putrid green blood of the orcs. Russell led the way, wielding his entrenching tool, the "Blood Drinker." Dark green orc blood still dripped from the blade. Arya followed closely behind, her psionic senses extending forward like tendrils, guiding their way.
The super angels spread their wings, hovering low in the air on alert, their psychic vision piercing through the lingering smoke of battle. Carleon's silver twin swords trembled slightly, as if sensing something.
"Entrance to the underground facility, 500 meters ahead." His deep voice echoed through the communication channel.
Van Grey's armor servo system emitted a slight hum, and a radiation warning flashed on his tactical visor—the energy readings here were abnormal, even interfering with the stable operation of the power armor.
"Something's not right here." The Salamander Commander's voice was unusually grave. "The Blackstone shouldn't be this active...unless it's been awakened."
They arrived before a massive metal ruin, once an underground research facility from the Dark Ages, now transformed by orcs into a crude altar. At its center stood a black crystal, about three meters tall—a **Blackstone Fragment**, but its surface was no longer smooth; instead, it was covered with vein-like green lines, as if some living thing was writhing inside.
"This isn't ordinary blackstone..." Arya's voice trembled slightly, "It's been corrupted."
Russell's golden psionic energy formed a barrier before the black stone, preventing its energy from leaking out. He took a few steps closer, the tip of his entrenching tool lightly touching the crystal surface—
In an instant, a piercing shriek erupted from within the black stone!
The entire ruins began to tremble, the ground cracked, and green psionic lightning bolts shot out from the fissures like venomous snakes! The super angels immediately deployed psionic shields, but several warriors were still hit, their wings instantly bursting into flames!
"Back off!" Carrion roared, his twin swords slashing out in a silver light, cleaving through the incoming psionic lightning.
But Russell did not back down.
He stood still, his golden psionic energy rising like flames, colliding fiercely with the green energy released by the black stone.
"This isn't the power of orcs..." he whispered, "It's the corruption of chaos."
Arya suddenly covered her ears and knelt down.
"It...it's talking!" Her heterochromatic eyes contracted sharply. "Not an orc...it's something much older...it's laughing!"
A blurry face emerged from the surface of the black stone, like an aggregate of countless twisted souls. Its voice pierced directly into everyone's brain—
"Finally...you've come...we've been waiting for you for so long..."
Van Grey's helmet display flickered wildly, and the warp energy readings exploded!
"Russell! This thing is alive!"
Russell plunged his entrenching tool into the ground, and golden psionic energy erupted like a torrent!
"Arya! Seal it!"
The girl bit her finger, using her blood to draw an ancient psionic rune in the air. Her silver hair moved without wind, and psionic energy coiled around the black stone like chains—
But the being within the black stone burst into wild laughter.
"Too late... the ceremony is already complete..."
The entire black stone suddenly shattered!
A green energy storm swept across the area, causing the metal structures of the ruins to rapidly corrode and disintegrate under the subspace's corrosive influence. At the storm's center, a twisted rift was forming—
**A subspace rift!**
The first demon's claw has already been extended.
Carrion's pupils constricted sharply: **"The Plaguebringer... Nurgle's Legion!"**
Russell's expression finally changed.
"This wasn't an accident...we were led here." He gripped his entrenching tool tightly. "Orcs, Zerg...they were all just bait."
Blood trickled from the corner of Arya's mouth; her psionic energy was rapidly depleting.
"Russell... their target is... you."
In the distance, dark clouds began to swirl.
The real war begins now.
