Chapter 11 Challenge Upgrade
Chapter 11 Challenge Upgrade
Oh my, our adventure in the Shang Dynasty is getting more and more exciting! Ever since we found that mysterious book, it feels like we opened a Pandora's box, and all kinds of troubles have followed.
Wan'er and I have become very busy people now. On the one hand, we have to continue to study the secrets in the book, and on the other hand, we have to be vigilant against those bad guys who appear out of nowhere. Those guys are like a group of annoying flies, always buzzing around us, making us very annoyed.
That day, we were sitting in a small teahouse, discussing the contents of the book with a few scholars. The teahouse was filled with the faint aroma of tea, and people were talking one after another. Several of us sat around a small table, on which was placed the mysterious book and our notes. Wan'er frowned, pointed to a passage in the book and asked: "What do you think, how should this ceremony be performed? It seems so complicated." A scholar pushed his glasses on the bridge of his nose and said slowly: "In my opinion, the sacrifices mentioned here may not be easy to find." Another scholar shook his head and said: "I think the key is the steps of the ceremony. If you make a mistake in one step, there may be big problems." Several of us discussed it one after another, and our brains were almost broken.
At this moment, we suddenly heard a noise outside. We curiously looked out and saw a group of people running in the street, shouting something. We quickly grabbed a person and asked, "What happened?" The person gasped and said, "It's bad. A nearby village has been hit by a disaster. Many people are sick." When we heard this, we were immediately nervous. What should we do? We decided to go to that village first to see what was going on.
When we arrived at the village, we were shocked by the scene. The village was in a mess, and people were lying on their beds, groaning in pain, their faces pale. Some elderly people and children were so weak that it was heartbreaking to see them. Wan'er's eyes suddenly turned red, "Su Yao, we have to find a way to help them." I nodded, but I was unsure. Although we have the mysterious book, we really don't know what to do with this sudden disaster.
We started asking around to see if there was any way to treat these patients. Some people said it might be a strange plague, and some said it might be cursed by some evil power. We were confused and even more anxious. At this time, an old man from the village came over and said to us, "I heard that there is a miracle doctor in the mountain. Maybe he can help." When we heard this, it seemed like we saw a glimmer of hope, and we decided to go up the mountain to find the miracle doctor immediately.
The road up the mountain is not easy to walk on. It is steep and rugged, with thorns and stones everywhere. We walked carefully, and every step was extremely difficult. Wan'er accidentally tripped over a stone and almost fell. I quickly supported her and said, "Be careful, this road is too dangerous." We supported each other and continued to climb up. Along the way, we saw all kinds of wild flowers and weeds, and some small animals shuttled through the grass. If it were normal, we might find these very interesting, but now we have only one thought in our minds, that is, to find a miracle doctor.
Finally, we found the little house of the miracle doctor on the top of the mountain. The little house was very simple, but it was surrounded by various kinds of herbs. A white-haired old man was drying herbs in the yard. We hurried over and explained our purpose. The miracle doctor frowned slightly after hearing what we said, "I have never seen such a situation, but I can try." He took us into the house, which was filled with various bottles and herbs. He began to carefully examine the patients and then prescribed some herbs for them to eat.
We watched nervously, silently praying that the herbs would work. After a while, some of the patients looked better, and we were happy. But the doctor said, "This is only a temporary relief. To cure them completely, we need to find a special herb." We quickly asked, "What herb? Where can I find it?" The doctor said, "This herb only grows in a very dangerous place, where there are many ferocious beasts and traps." We couldn't help but shudder when we heard this. But in order to save those patients, we decided to give it a try.
We said goodbye to the miracle doctor and started to prepare to find the special herb. We prepared some dry food and water, as well as some simple weapons in case of danger. Wan'er said a little scared: "Su Yao, are we really going there? It sounds so scary." I held her hand and said firmly: "We can't give up, those patients are still waiting for us." With courage and determination, we embarked on a difficult journey.
We did encounter many dangers along the way. Once, we encountered a huge tiger. The tiger opened its bloody mouth and pounced on us. We were so scared that we ran away and hid behind a big tree. The tiger circled around for a long time before leaving. Another time, we accidentally fell into a trap and it took a lot of effort to climb out. But we didn't back down and kept going forward.
Finally, we found the special herb. It grew on the edge of a cliff surrounded by steep rock walls. We climbed carefully and picked some of the herb. Then we hurried back, hoping to bring the herb to the patients as soon as possible.
When we got back to the village, we gave the herbs to the miracle doctor. He boiled the herbs into a medicinal soup and gave it to the patient. After a few days, the patient's condition really improved. Everyone was very happy and full of gratitude to us. We were also very pleased and felt that we had done something very meaningful.
However, our troubles were not over yet. The bad guys who had been following us showed up again. They saw that we had found the special herbs and cured the patients, and they became even more jealous and angry. They began to plan a bigger conspiracy to steal our books and herbs. We knew that a bigger challenge was coming.
