Chapter 1036: Rebellion
The remaining four elders’ souls nearly left their bodies, seeing the horror before their eyes; the corpse of the lifeless bald man lay before them. Out of the six elders, two were now dead.
"Please forgive us... we were wrong!" Suddenly, one of the remaining four elders immediately started banging his head on the ground, pleading with Yohan not to kill him. He was well aware that he could neither leave this place nor did he have the ability to fight someone like Yohan, who had easily slaughtered two elders as if they were mere flies.
Seeing the old man shamelessly begging for his life, the other three joined the elder in hopes that he would let them live. Yohan simply watched these four grown men banging their heads on the ground, crying and asking for his forgiveness. The entire matriarch hall echoed with the mixed sounds of thudding and pleading, and Yohan felt weird seeing these four mature men weeping.
"We were wrong, young master! Have mercy!"
"We will be your loyal dogs and serve you with everything we have! Just give us one chance..."
"The high elders of each faction are at fault! Those corrupt bastards don’t want you to become the next leader of the clan!"
"They are cohooting with allied branch leaders; that’s the reason most of the branch leaders rejected the official summon that Lady Alena sent!"
"Those bastards are planning a rebellion... after all, you are unpredictable and can’t be controlled. If you become the new leader, all of the high elders technically lose the power they hold inside the clan!"
One after another, the four elders started spilling the beans in order to save their skins. Yohan raised his brows in surprise, as he was not expecting to hear that those fools were plotting this hard. Things were indeed bad inside the inner circle of the Lin clan. Athena was right when she proposed replacing the entire order with a new one; the current core was beyond saving.
"Young master, I think the six elders and those allied branch leaders are behind the disappearance of your father... those bastards might have done something to him!" one of the elders exclaimed. Yohan’s facial expression changed drastically when he heard that.
"What did you say?" Yohan exclaimed, signaling all of them to stop banging their heads on the ground. His attention was fixed on the middle-aged man who had mentioned his father, Su Lin.
"Young master, I am sure the elders and branch leaders had something to do with Patriarch Su Lin’s disappearance," the elder spoke in haste.
"Indeed, now that I think about it, before he left the clan, the six faction elders had a secret meeting with him," the other elder spoke in a trembling voice. Yohan remained seated, but an extreme killing intent appeared in his eyes.
Even if he didn’t like Su Lin, who had tried to kill him, he couldn’t bring himself to hate the guy. He was still the father of this body.
"I will spare your worthless lives..." Yohan whispered as something shifted in his mind. He decided to use these guys’ confessions as an excuse to eradicate every single faction. Now that he knew the elders were in cahoots with those allied branch leaders, he could kill them without any hesitation.
The four elders felt relieved hearing Yohan. All of them thought they would lose their lives today, but alas, their desperation and their will to live changed the heart of this young master who had been ready to kill them.
"I will use your confessions as an excuse to annihilate every single faction," Yohan looked at these guys with cold eyes.
The four of them immediately nodded their heads in agreement without wasting a second. They didn’t give a flying fuck about whatever he intended to do with those factions and allied leaders of the branch family; as long as they saved their lives, they were willing to do anything.
The next moment, Yohan took out four healing potions from his spatial ring and tossed them toward these guys to use. Immediately, all of them followed Yohan’s will and swallowed the entire thing without a second thought. A moment later, the wounds on their heads completely disappeared as the effects of the healing potions kicked into their bodies.
All of them simply bowed their heads, praising Yohan for using such a precious treasure to heal their injuries. Yohan was not bothered by these guys; he intended to use these four men to achieve his goal. His goal was simple: he intended to kill every single elder and the allied leaders of those branch families.
"Which is the closest faction?" Yohan asked as he looked at these four men. All of them were taken aback hearing Yohan, and their facial expressions changed drastically.
"The alchemy faction... that one is the closest," all of them said in unison. Their bodies were drenching in cold sweat, as they were somewhat aware of what was about to unfold.

Meanwhile, at the same time, two figures could be seen inside a lavish room, sitting on the bed side by side.
"Are you alright?" Jasmine asked as she looked at Alena, who was looking worried about something.
"I am just worried that he might end up killing all of them!" Alena looked at Jasmine and revealed the reason behind her concern. She also revealed that many allied branch leaders had rejected the official summon that the Lin clan sent.
"Those bastards, they don’t want him to become the next patriarch of the clan. All of them are working together to suppress him; even the elders of the clan are not in support!" Alena added, as she clearly understood what was going on inside the clan. Seeing her like that, Jasmine simply caressed Alena’s hand and tried to calm her down.
"Mother, things are going to be different from now on... before coming to your manor, there was something he asked me to convey to you..." With a hesitant look on her face, Jasmine looked at Alena.
Alena gulped nervously, seeing that hesitant look on Jasmine’s face. "What is going on, Jasmine... don’t tell me he is about to do something?" Alena asked, as she couldn’t get rid of the uneasiness she had been feeling from the very moment Yohan entered the matriarch hall.
"He intends to eradicate the current core of the clan and will replace it with a new one."
