Chapter 171 Thanks and Reunion
Chapter 171 Thanks and Reunion
Gloria lay under the water in the bathtub, blowing a bubble from her mouth from time to time.
Ever since she knew she had to stay underwater for an hour, she often soaked in the bathtub and cast various spells. Today she used a transfiguration spell, and her legs were no longer visible from her lower body. A silver fish tail, similar in color to her eyes, swayed slowly.
Golinia in the water said: "It's been an hour and a half. This time the transformation was perfect."
Gloria blinked, and emerged from the water with her upper body, wiping the water off her face. "The game is fine. We just need to consolidate our offensive spells."
"I wonder if your friend heard the clue in the golden egg." Golinia climbed to the edge of the bathtub.
"I know for sure." She stood up from the water and cast a spell to dry her hair.
I've been practicing spells a lot in the bathtub in my dorm lately, but I'm really tired of it these past two days and plan to cut back on practice before the competition starts.
After getting dressed, Gloria put the three snakes into her pockets and walked out of the dormitory.
Just as she reached the stairs, someone called her.
"Leah - wait." Harry trotted over. "Thank you."
Gloria thought that the next words were all about the golden egg clue, so she said, "You're welcome. Go for a walk outside."
The two walked out of the castle.
"Hagrid told me the clue about the golden eggs. He said it was you who revealed it." Harry's emerald eyes sparkled, and he was obviously happy about this.
Gloria said: "Hagrid told me the information about the dragon, so I told him the clue about the golden egg. As for who he is willing to tell, it is not my concern. Also, have you figured out the information about the golden egg?"
"Uh - not yet." He said, "I just found out about this. Underwater... I should throw it into the water. I plan to get a bucket full of water and put it in there to try."
Gloria chuckled, "You can try it. If it doesn't work, I recommend a good place, the prefect's bathroom."
Besides her, the only other bathroom in the dormitory that had a large bathtub was the prefect's bathroom.
Harry took note of it carefully. "I see. It seems that we are the only ones who know the clues this time. I hope the results will be better."
Gloria shook her head. "Last time Hagrid told us about the dragon, Madam Maxime was there. It's possible that the warrior from Beauxbatons also knows about it."
Harry's mind flashed back to the scene of Hagrid and the headmaster's suspected date. "Actually... they had a fight on the night of the Yule Ball."
"Ok?"
"Hagrid told her about his half-giant identity and thought that Ms. Maxime was also a half-giant, but she denied it and said that she just had a big frame. She felt... insulted and left angrily."
Gloria raised her hand to cover her lips. "It's not her fault that she wants to deny it. Mixed-blood wizards and magical creatures will always be discriminated against. Moreover, giants are cruel by nature, otherwise they wouldn't have almost become extinct because of cannibalism. Ms. Maxime is the principal of the magic school, so she must be more careful to hide her background."
"That's for sure. Luckily, Ron and I were the only ones around at the time." Harry would not say this out loud. "Perhaps Hagrid can use this clue to reconcile with Ms. Maxime."
Anyway, in the first task, all the warriors knew about the fire dragon, so it was not surprising that they knew the clue to the golden egg this time.
Before they knew it, they had reached the lakeside and saw the big ship of Durmstrang. They saw Krum, shirtless and wearing only a pair of swimming trunks. He was as agile as he was on the court. He climbed up the side of the ship, raised his arms and jumped into the lake.
"It's January," Harry exclaimed, "he'll freeze in the water!"
"Don't forget Harry, Durmstrang is in the very cold northern Europe, much colder than the UK." Gloria said, "It seems like he knows the clue to the golden egg. We are at the same starting line again for the second project."
"Huh?" Harry hadn't heard the specific clue in the golden egg yet. "Underwater?"
He thought it was just the golden egg that needed to be thrown into the water, but he didn't expect the competition to be in the water as well.
Gloria curled her lips and said, "Find a chance to stay in the water with the golden egg and practice the spell of breathing underwater."
Harry frowned, thinking this would be much more difficult than dealing with a dragon.
"What's going on with Hermione and Ron?" Gloria asked. "I saw them arguing the night of the ball, and they didn't want to stand together in class."
"I don't know either." Harry didn't understand what happened that night. "Hermione and Krum attended the ball together. Ron thought Krum wanted to find out about the golden egg through her, or to deal with me. Hermione was furious."
Gloria was puzzled. She had a quarrel with Harry in the first project, but Hermione took over the second project?
"In any case, find an opportunity to figure out the clues in the golden egg as soon as possible. I have already practiced the relevant spells, and it looks like Krum will also be ready before the game. You can't fall behind."
With that she turned back to the castle, leaving Harry to do the rest on his own.
Gloria saw Draco near the Great Hall, throwing snowballs with some Slytherin students.

Hogsmeade village opened its arms to the students, and Sirius wrote a letter to Gloria and Harry, inviting them to meet at the Three Broomsticks Bar.
He has been staying here recently, and when I heard he could come out, I made an appointment to come over immediately.
Sirius was already sitting in a corner of the bar, drinking a glass of wine, and ordered butterbeer for the two children.
Gloria arrived first. The handsome Sirius stood out in the chaotic bar. The senior girls pointed at him and whispered about him.
She walked over and sat down directly. "Do you have to get drunk during the day?"
Sirius quickly put down the glass, "No - this is the first drink. I need to drink at least thirty glasses before I get drunk."
Gloria looked around and asked, "You're the only one living here, where's Mr. Lupin?"
Ever since the third-year professor voluntarily resigned, the busy girl only occasionally became curious about his whereabouts after the start of the school year.
"I helped Dumbledore with some work during the summer vacation, but things didn't go well. I'm staying with him now." He lowered his voice and said, "Recuperate."
Gloria asked, "What happened to him?"
Sirius leaned forward and continued in a low voice, "He was planning to contact a werewolf, but some guys didn't welcome him, so there was a bit of a conflict."
Just as he finished saying this, he saw Harry pushing the door open and running towards him with a huge smile on his face.
"Sirius, Leah, have you been waiting for a long time?" Harry said, still panting.
"Not long ago, I just sat down." Sirius raised his head and took another sip of wine. After drinking, he cast a soundproofing spell around him. "Okay, I saw the letter with the golden egg clue. Do you know the spell for breathing underwater?"
Gloria said, "I know. The game is fine."
Their eyes fell on Harry, who said, "We're still looking up the book."
Sirius waved his hand indifferently, "It's very simple. There's a bubble head spell. It's not difficult to learn and you can master it quickly. However, the air inside the bubble can't circulate with the outside. If you use this spell during the competition, you must manage the time well and go to the lake to change the bubble."
Harry quickly wrote down the name of the spell, "Okay, by the way - the night I went to the prefect's bathroom, I was almost caught by Professor Filch and Professor Snape, but luckily Professor Moody helped me."
Gloria secretly sighed. Even with the invisibility cloak and the Marauder's Map, she was still almost caught. "Are there any strange names around you on the map?"
Harry shook his head, "No, they are all familiar names."
Sirius felt more relieved after hearing this, "You just need to focus on preparing for the competition now."
