Chapter 248 Unifying the Underground World
Chapter 248 Unifying the Underground World
In the evil god camp, water and wind, fire and earth are mortal enemies. The water camp is represented by the Cthulhu pantheon, while the opposing wind camp is another evil god system led by the Yellow Lord 'Hastur'. Incidentally, the fire pantheon is represented by 'Cthugia', while the earth pantheon is represented by 'Shub-Nicholas', one of the three original gods.
In the ancient times, evil gods roamed the multiverse. They believed that destruction was the only true meaning of the universe, so they relentlessly destroyed the universe as they knew it, leaving behind desolate 'void'. At that time, the nature gods were generally defined as 'outer gods' in the minds of the evil gods, meaning 'gods outside our system'. However, due to the evil gods' unrestrained exploitation and destruction of the universe, the nature gods began to fight against the evil gods for their own benefit. Finally, in the distant ancient times, the nature gods drove out all the evil gods and sealed them in the void. Those nature gods who sealed them were then called 'old gods' by the evil gods, meaning 'gods with conservative ideas'.
Among the evil gods, the only ones we are familiar with in most cases are the Cthulhu pantheon, simply because they have loyal followers like mind flayers, which gives this lineage of evil gods the highest exposure.
However, this Mind Flayer seems to have gone mad for some reason. Instead of worshipping Cthulhu, who looks almost exactly like him, he has turned to worshiping his nemesis, the Yellow King. It's going to be another convoluted story of religious factionalism. But whatever, let's just do it!
To protect his subordinates, Agreed swooped down and launched an attack on the Hundred-Handed Giant, preventing it from harming his own men. The Hundred-Handed Giant did indeed abandon the surrounding black dragons and turn its attack on Agreed.
The hundred-armed giant rhythmically swung its arms, followed by a gust of black, decaying wind. Agred could sense that the power of the black wind was comparable to a high-level instant-death spell. Fortunately, it was just an incarnation of divine power; otherwise, Agred estimated that his protective divine power might have been broken. Therefore, to prevent any unforeseen complications, Agred decided that it was best to finish the battle quickly.
Argreed then raised his head and unleashed a breath of dragon fire that instantly destroyed the Hundred-Handed Giant. He then opened his maw and swallowed all the divine power contained within the Giant. Dealing with the divine power avatar was now a piece of cake for Argreed. Moreover, the Yellow King remained silent after that. But thinking about it, it makes sense; after all, who would bother with a bunch of ants? The fact that the Yellow King was able to send down a divine power avatar to save the day shows that he is a relatively benevolent evil god.
Next, Agred effortlessly slaughtered the Mindflayers, thus completely ruling the Netherworld. Afterward, Agred dispatched Ladon and the Black Dragon Clan to guard this place. From this day forward, only the ocean and the human kingdom remain on the planet Musurida, unconquered by the Kingdom of All Races.
Due to the complex situation in human kingdoms, Agreed could only wait and see before making his move. So, Agreed immediately began planning to rule the ocean.
……
The Fifth Year of the Era of the Kingdom of Myriad Races
In the ocean of Musurida
Just like a sea monster swimming in the vast ocean, Agreed was carrying a small, exquisite giant squid in his hand as he swam into the depths of the ocean. In fact, the giant squid in Agreed's hand was much larger than we know, but compared to his hundreds of meters long body, it really looked 'small and exquisite'.
Agreed swam to a huge cave and used magic to erase his presence. Then, he tore the squid apart, letting its blood splatter into the seawater, and threw it into the cave entrance. Agreed had specifically gone to the deep sea to catch this squid as bait in order to catch what was inside the cave, hoping that the squid would be attractive enough to lure out the creature he wanted to capture.
As time passed, a pair of glowing red eyes appeared in the dark cave. A dragon turtle, covered in a huge shell with barnacles and spikes, slowly walked out of the cave. It had a head similar to a bronze dragon and webbed feet. Except for the huge shell on its back, it was almost identical to a dragon, which is why this species is called a 'dragon turtle'.
As for the birth of the dragon turtles... I think everyone knows what I mean by their resemblance to some kind of metallic dragon. This is the work of some dragons who are still teenagers. Those young and impetuous lads who prey on any beast they see have contributed a lot to the biodiversity of the multiverse. To be honest, if the dragon race hadn't been so lustful when they were young, and if the reproductive isolation had been stronger, then at least a thousand monster species would have disappeared from this world.
Even Argrede was quite surprised when he first discovered the dragon turtle. Looking at the spiky shell that the dragon turtle had inherited from its mother, Argrede couldn't help but wonder, "Aren't these bronze dragon brothers just desperate for food? Aren't they tired of it?" It has to be said, the dragons in the sea really know how to play; it's all high-level play!
Getting back to the main point, seeing the dragon turtle take the bait, Agreed instantly charged forward and used a high-level beast taming spell, 'Spiritual Enlightenment,' to quickly endow the dragon turtle with intelligence and make it recognize him as its master. Agreed had been waiting for a long time to subdue this largest dragon turtle in the sea. Because Agreed was afraid that forcibly capturing it would harm its life, he had specially planned to use this gentle approach to charm and subdue it.
After that, the dragon turtle naturally became a pet and was very obedient to Agred. Although magic enlightened his intelligence and allowed him to understand language, he still could not speak. It was a gradual process. After all, what child can speak right after birth?
Argreed named his first Pokémon, or rather, his Marine Kin, "Ramos." In the days that followed, Argreed took Ramos around to capture Marine Kin and gather troops. During this time, Naga, Fishmen, Deepsea creatures, and various giant sea monsters were captured one after another.
Argrede recruited a formidable naval force in an extremely short time. Moreover, Argrede specially crafted a batch of weapons and equipment for these marine creatures that were made of special materials that could not be corroded in the sea. With the combined advantages of equipment, manpower, intelligence, and biological superiority, Argrede successively conquered the vast majority of the marine territories at an incredible speed.
However, he soon encountered adversaries in the ocean. Now, to unify the ocean, Agred must overcome the numerous obstacles posed by the three major metallic dragons: the Bronze Dragon, the Gold Dragon, and the Silver Dragon. The Bronze Dragon, needless to say, is born by the water and has long lived in the ocean, ruling over the most fertile part of the ocean. The Gold Dragon and the Silver Dragon, on the other hand, live on a peaceful island in the ocean, an island roughly the size of Oceania. If Agred were to fight the Bronze Dragon over ocean territory, the Gold Dragon and Silver Dragon, being of the same kind, would surely come to his aid. Therefore, Agred must find a way to eliminate all three races at once.
So, in order to counter them, Argrede summoned all the adult white dragons from the Arctic continent and also brought over the black dragons from the inner world. With the help of the ocean's minions, Argrede launched a general offensive to unify the oceans with the strongest lineup he could muster.
